The minimum eligibility for Research Ph.D. is a candidate must have valid degree of M.Sc/Integrated M.Sc (Physics, Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Applied Mathematics, Astronomy, Electronics, Photonics, Optics), M.E./M.Tech and Integrated M.E/M.Tech (Applied Physics, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Photonics, Optics, Opto-Electronics, Radio Physics & Electronics), M.Phil (Applied Physics, Instrumentation, Photonics, Optics, Physics).

Selection Procedure:

• Candidates must be under 36 years of age for the regular post-doctoral fellowship, and under the age of 32 years for the Chandrasekhar post-doctoral fellowship.
• If the applicant is an existing student of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, it is mandatory that the viva-voce must be completed at the time of review.
• The selection process for this fellowship involves in-depth analysis of the comprehensive application form that is required to be sent in, completed, at least three weeks before the start of the review process.

ADMISSION TO INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ASTROPHYSICS , BANGALORE

Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) is an educational institution was established in the year of 1786. The institute is primarily located in Bangalore (Bengaluru) in the state of Karnataka, with other observatories in Kavalur, Kodaikanal and other locations.The primary focus of the institute is research and specialization in various forms of physics or astrophysics.

Indian Institute of Astrophysics offers integrated M.Tech, with the possibility of continuing on for a Ph.D., as well as research-oriented post-doctoral fellowships. For the M.Tech. + Ph.D. course offered by IIA jointly with Calcutta University and Ph.D program offered jointly with Pondicherry University, there is an entrance examination held in the month of December, followed by an interview in the month of January. ADMISSION TO NIT TIRUCHI

The National Institute of Technology Trichy is a government autonomous university. It offers 56 specializations under nine specializations: B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Tech, M.Arch, M.Sc, MS (Research), MBA, MCA and PhD.

To apply for B.Tech and B.Arch, a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 75% marks.
