There are three modes of application: online, by post and direct. Each method has its own benefits with a slight variation in the amount of the application fee. The admission process for each programme varies and a few notable differences could be:
- All the Professional course applicants will have to pass the VEE entrance exam which will take place in May. If a candidate clears the examination, then they will have to appear for a personal interview.
- For the other courses, admission will be completely based on merit and personal interview conducted by the university.
- UG & PG courses usually have a duration between 3-4 years (6-8 semesters) & 2-4 years respectively. The Doctorate programmes’ duration varies from 3-6 years.
- For Admission in MBA, the candidate must have CAT, MAT, XAT and VEE score
- Securing admission in Diploma is based on the merit in the qualifying exam.
- For admissions into both B.E. and B.Tech courses, the applicant must clear the entrance test VEE, which is conducted on an all-India level. The institute also offers an executive PGP program for which the candidates must appear for the IIMR-Entrance Test (for those without CAT/GMAT/GRE/GATE scores).

ADMISSION TO THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT ROHTAK
Indian Institute of Management Rohtak (IIM-R), joined the IIM family tree in the year 2009. The institute has been ranked in the 23rd position among top B schools of the country by the NIRF.
IIM Rohtak offers admission to 2 PG programs, 2 Fellowship programs, and various executive training programs in the management field.
Admission to the PGP (flagship) course, the candidates must possess a valid CAT score. The institute revamped its PGP admission policies to ensure a better balance in opportunities among different subject streams and genders.
For the purpose of final selection, IIM Rohtak will conduct its own Interview and Written Test in different cities since it recently opted out of CAP to construct its own selection criteria and will charge an additional amount of INR. 2000/- towards registration

ILBS offers full time Ph.D. at doctorate level. The duration of this course is 5 years.

ADMISSION TO DM , MD & M.Ch PROGRAMS IN ILBS
Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences offers full time DM program. The duration of DM program is 3 years. As per the requirement of ILBS, to be eligible for admission in DM candidate should have completed MD/ Diplomat of National Board or any other examination from a recognized University.
